They never used to...
They are about 8/9 years old... Sisters from the same litter... Always used to be fine... used to sleep together and lick each other (cute!) But now.. They can't seem to stand the site of each other.. Always fight and hiss etc.
They are fine with the other, older cat that is no relation... and fine with the old dog and always have been... Just within the last year they seem to fight each other...
Any ideas??

not sure babe to be honest. my mum had the same problem with her two male cats that were brothers. its not uncommon as far as i'm aware, they used to almost try to kill each other. the main theory is that as cats get to a certain age they get very territorial and want to be "top dog" so as to speak... the good news is that they will grow out of it but it will take time...Gotta love em though eh!!!XXX

at the beginning, are they neutered? Their hormones could reason ecalations in sexually generated aggression. the different cats walking previous probably do no longer help. i'm assuming that is unlikely in view which you have brother and sister mutually and can have inbred kittens in the event that they mated. Sooo there's a project for spectacular cat place occurring. It occurs in multicat properties and now and back the alpha cat will substitute and the underlings can shuffle around too. you could help with this by utilising watching which one is the dominant cat.. (would not conceal that is poop interior the container is regularly a sturdy sign) and while you're uncertain, the only that's the greater comfortable and valuable is the boss! What do you'll be able to desire to do? appreciate this cats authority. Feed it first, puppy it first, play with it first, constantly positioned this cat past to the different one and shop the status quo. The organic hierachy could desire to be stated to help make stronger it and to keep away from any annoying situations. The problematical cat might want to have your help, or different cats around it beside the alpha cat to take over. (that's a %. factor)

I've been through this as well, just this weekend with my two, sister, spayed, nothing changed in their environments etc, and they turned on each other over night. I used Bach's Rescue Remedy in their water and a little on the back of their necks, then I got a Feliway diffuser and plugged that it, it seems to have worked, after 5 days solid of hissing, growling, clawing, and major fighting etc. I also used the felifriend liquid, which is another pheromone treatment, a few drops on your hand and then stroke their fur, it encourages them to groom each other. It's worth trying, they are quite expensive, but worth trying for the peace.

They just have catfights! I mean, they may be chasing a right male, and seem to have the rivalry for it. Or else, they might just argue playfully ~ considering cats are affectionate animals. As long as they don't kill each other, that would be fine though.

Have you brought any new animals in, even for a short period of time? Or change a habit they had, moved their sleeping arrangements, change the food, cat litter. Anything changed?

Maybe they are after the same tom cat and are jealous of each other.
