Sit upright on the floor and stretch your legs out. It's probably best to do this in shorts or just your knickers, so you can see the muscles working.
Now bring your toes towards you until you can feel the tendons stretching, but don't over do it. Doing this will increase the blood flow in your legs and ease the pain.

Try electrolyte supplements and Vitamin E. You will see a difference in about a months time.
I was swimming and suddenly got a calf cramp that could kill! So I did research and came up with the above.
Also, before exercising, warm up thoroughly.

Cramps are frequently reason by a potassium deficiency. both bananas, or potassium gluconate may also help this. I have taken potassium gluconate and it helped. OTC at a pharmacy (chemist's).

the only cure is to put some fine salt under your tongue..the cramp will go away...and get some rest the reason you getting cramps is you are mentally exhausted...your brain is sending your musscels the wrong signals..

I would guess that there is something with your bed or your sleeping position. Talk to a chiropractor about the trouble you experience.

i get the same thing once in a while, and the only answer i can give you is you probably don't have enough potasium in your body. try eating a bannana every day and see if that helps.
