No, and the secret of a great English breakfast is in the cooking and timing of it. Keep a plate hot in the oven, or even heat the empty plate up in the micro-wave oven. Grill your bacon (I prefer smoked, rindless back bacon) Cut a beef tomato in half and grill it with the bacon until it is heated through and the bacon just a little crispy (yumm). Fry two fresh large eggs, double yolkers if you can get them, I knew a place near Basildon in Essex where they specialised in double yolkers, anyway, they got bust for growing weed and I think they are closed now. Put a large knob of butter in a non-stick frying pan and bring to heat, crack the eggs in (no pun intended there lol) and cook through gently, likewise, gently flip the eggs over to seal the yolks and scoop them onto some fried bread you made earlier, if your really cool, fry a large horse mushroom and with a cup of orange pekoe and earl grey tea...........YAHOO.

I totally agree, I live in Denmark and a highlight for my kids is when we have English breakfast, although I must admit I couldn't eat it everyday. By the way most of the "English" bacon comes from Denmark.

Try Danish bacon - it's the best in the world.
You can get Danish bacon in Italy.
Do your fry-up using a little butter rather than oil.

Yes, sausage, eggs, grits and hashbrowns!!!!
I like my eggs in a "One Eye"
Get a thick piece of french bread and pull the middle out, put in a skillet w/ a bit of butter and crack an egg into the hole. Cook for a couple minutes and flip over, cook a little more.
I am so hungry now.
