It usually involves some sort of intruder or attacker that invades the house & attempts to kill me or my loved ones & my family, and I always end up killing them, by either bashing their head in or with strangulation. I just woke up from one particular recurring one where I shoot the intruder in the leg & then hit him in the head with a block of ice. It's scaring me & bothering my sleep, what does it all mean? :(

I am not into iinterpreting dreams, but the first impression I got was that the intruder may represent some sort of problem or threat in your life. It sounds as if you need to overcome this problem; whatever it is.

You may feel responsible for the well-being of your family member(s) as well - physically, emotionally, spiritually, or financially.

Explore these possibilities, then either (1) assure yourself that you are doing your best and are not responsible for every little thing that happens in your life or that of your family or (2) Assess the situation from the point of, "I have this problem. What can I do to make it better for me or my family?"

If the dreams bother you this much, perhaps you need to see a counselor to get at the underlying root of it all.

The dreams may even have some physical cause, like meds you are taking, your eating habits before bedtime, etc. Do some detective work~

Good luck.

Perhaps its not the violence that is the important part - perhaps it is a genuine worry that you are insecure in your home. And then the dream is resolving itself in a positive way - kinda - that you protect yourself and your loved ones from harm.
Maybe if you got an alarm system installed if you haven't already, or kept a baseball bat or something less cliche beside your bed, just for peace of mind. Maybe the dreams will leave you alone then.
Either that or the other thing I can think of is that you may be frustrated or angry with something/someone in your life and the violence you use on the intruder - a convenient scapegoat - could be your outlet to relieve the stress. Just be thankful it isn't carrying over to your real life :P

Just try to unwind with a vacation or maybe yoga & meditation. Ur extremely stressed out and ur mind is toying with you. Dreams are formed when the brain combines the various visions of the day. So, u should not be watching any violence. If u feel that the atmosphere at ur job is unhealthy, u must try to change it. Also, a visit to a counselor may help u a ton.
Good Luck and hope it helps!

You must be undergoing a lot of stress and doubt in your waking life. A lot of times dreams convey what is going on in your sub concious and your conciousness when you are awake.

You are fearful of letting down your family or fear their safety. This could mean maybe you are strapped financially or you worry about losing your job because of people who are in your way, i.e. a boss, other contractors etc. You fight back though because you care deeply about your family and also your own survival.

I would try deep breathing, yoga or tai chi. It definitely helped me relax and I was able to sleep again after several weeks of very violent dreams. I had a very rough year this year as I was involved in three major fights, two of which included knives from my attackers. Over time I just saw it as something that occured and that I could move on, mind over body. Ironically my dreams were opposit of the actual event and thus was interpreted in different analogies. So even though you fear someone attacking your family and yourself, it could be other factors that are going against you that are perhaps non-violent.

Its probably because you are tense all the time. Might be your job that makes you so tense. You'd better put aside your work for some more time everyday so that more time in the day can be spent with your family and friends. (or maybe you are very adventurous(just a joke :D ) )

Hi Yeo, I believe our dreams are trying to tell us something that is going to happen to us. I think your dream since you keep having the same dream is trying to warn you somthing bad is going to happen to you or your family. Be careful in what you do and tell your family to be careful and keep their eyes open and don't go up to any stranges no matter what. I don't want to scare you but i believe in this,so please be careful. A Friend.
