I'm 13 and 5'2. People say I'm normal , but I think I'm fat. I'm very athletic, but I also eat very much. I weigh 49 kilogrammes, and I guess about 110 pounds. Is it alot?

Why do u think you are fat? what are u comparing yourself to?
If you are looking in magazines and seeing skinny models and thinking they are normal your wrong. most girls in magazines have airbrushed bodies, digitally altered and sometimes are made of many body doubles put together. the media only use them because they make money!

Soooo please dont worry about your weight, i did when i was younger and it stunted my growth. Eat healthy and give your body the best chance to develop =)

Why do you think you're fat? Because of women in magazines, who are known to look like human hangers? In the past few months we've seen articles around the world that these models are dieing from anorexia. They are not healthy. I can only guess they are not athletic.

If you are comparing yourself to your friends, remember everyone matures at different rates. Some girls at 13 still have no curves, and are all bones. Other girls have started adding some NORMAL curves and muscle mass. Later when you're older you'll appreciate your shape more.

If you are athletic, you need to eat "a lot" to maintain your muscle tone. The question is what are you eating? At 13 you might eat junk food and look great, but it will catch up with you in your later years. Get into the habit of eating a good combination of foods (http://www.mypyramid.gov/) now, and stay athletic, and you'll continue looking great.

110lbs at 5'2 is perfect. My girlfriend is 5'3 and 120 and she looks great, always getting complimented. If you are concerned just eat healthy food. Don't worry about counting calories because you are still so young that your metabolism is still racing. Keep in mind that muscle weighs much more than fatty cells. People can be thin and muscular and weigh as much as someone who appears fat simply because of muscle density. Anyways your 13 enjoy life, dont worry about weight, thats what your 30s are for!

Umm.... I'm less than half an inch taller than you and weigh 130-135 *dependant on time of the month* and people tell me I look good. I'd KILL to weigh 110 though, but I yo-yo *work out, get where i want, gain it back, and the cycle resets itself*

You're fine. You're actually better than fine. Don't lose the weight you have, just tone it up if it bugs you. Think "pilates"

You are perfect, actually you are thin. Believe your friends, if you think you are fat this is dangerous, because it can cause anorexia. Keep eating AND exercising, that will keep you fit. Thinner than 50 kilos is too thin!

You are perfect. I was going to say for your age, between 100lb and 120lb would be ideal.

Hi Sarha, You probably could lose 5 lbs. For your height you should be close to 105 lbs. Your not to far off. A Friend.
