power plants churn out ac voltage over three wires - this is the 3phase voltage. the voltage between each phase (line) or interphase voltage is the line voltage. this is normally the voltage across two wires which is fed to homes. the voltage across a phase and ground is the phase voltage

I don't recognize the terms, exactly. The phase-to-phase voltage is the voltage measured between the phases. In a WYE connected system, you can also measure the voltage between a phase and the neutral. Perhaps this is the "line voltage". I'm clueless about the difference in the currents.

Line voltage(UL) is the voltage measured between line conductors while Phase voltage(UP) is the voltage measured across voltage source(windings)

Same above apply to IL and IP.
