Find out what kind of movies he likes and see if there is one playing at the theatre and ask him if he wants to go. Each pay for your own stuff, so it won't be like a date. If anything you could make a friend out of the situation.

guys are often attracted to girls who has "sense" and by this i mean you should talk about something intellectual and not just shallow things. also guys like girls who has great sense of humor. well if he likes talking to you, he'll talk to you. show him the real you, no pretentions.
