Selteeb, Social Science Lady and Barrowman are right. Any Militaria shop will stock ribbons for most medals. If you're going to buy take the medal with you to make sure you get the right ribbon ( unless you already know in which case i'll shut up).

Some of the better quality `Gentleman's` Tailors` shops in the high streets sell them, if not there are various web sites, not least of all your own regiment, try them. Several years ago I bought new ribbons for my great-grandfathers WW1 medals. The medals looked superb with the new ribbons, I now have them set in a frame, and I am very proud to have them hanging on my living room wall.

are you able to locate any of your Grandfathers military papers? frequently the launch paper (interior the U.S. military it really is a DD 214) will say what medals and ribbons were presented to him. you need to be in a position to get a replica of his discharge papers from the authorities files storage center. you could pick to attempt contacting a large Veterans agency for the Royal army and observe in the journey that they could help you collect this suggestion.
