can i improve my spanish? i'm doing it for a level now at the minute but i don't know why i kept it up as i only got a C at GCSE. The only problem is i know i could do well in it but i can't seem to get myself motivated for it and my AS is only a few months away. To make matters worse i don't get on with my teacher because she is so arrogant and stuck up to put it politely. I'm think i'm doing reasonably well in my others as they easy enough but spanish is killing me! Any tips?

oh umm the "O levels" answer was a good idea except i did my O levels last year i think so anyways. GCSE's are now what they're called. Umm those spanish CD's are tripe. Absolutely terrible. My little nephew could speak that amount of spanish without the CD but thanks anyways people you've been great so far;) x

Hiya, I only got a C grade at GCSE French and took the A-level. I struggled like mad and despite loads of extra tuition from my teachers, I only scraped an E grade at AS Level. My best advice is you either try your best and see what marks you get at AS Level, or drop out and focus on your other subjects. I ended up with AAB in my other three subjects and always regret the amount of time I spent on French as I was 5 marks short of getting an A in Sociology. Don't let your other subjects suffer for Spanish. Good Luck!

Didn't you notice that they were giving away Spanish CDs in the Sun news paper the other day? It would have helped you.

There used to be a book and tapes called 'Spanish made Simple'

Gets you to O level (They say)

It has worked for some people.

Give your teacher a flower, thank her for her help so far and let her know that you really want to learn.
