Get regular trims,
and if your hair gets dry, that might cause it, so use a good conditioner.
Also, there are good shampoos, and conditioners for that kinda stuff too!

the best way to avoid split ends is to look after it, no straightning etc, but we all know this does not happen, try n let your hair dry natrually whenever poss, then straighten/style, you must have it trimmed ever 6 weeks, and condition, condition, condition try and use a treatment every week and leave on for 30 mins with plastic wrap 7 warm towel. x

don't do anything to your hair.
don't brush your hair, but if you must, use a wide tooth comb when your hair is wet and start combing the bottom portion 1st and move to the top.
don't tie your hair, but if you must, tie as loosely as possible.
don't blow dry; air dry.
wash your hair every other day and be gentle. when washing your hair, don't pile it on top of you hair, but work with it hanging down.
and trim your ends

Trim your hair often, like once a month and every time you dye your hair, because every time you dye,the tips of your hair will split. You know that our hair is fragile when wet,so.........be careful when you untangle, use always a conditioner.
