Drug dealers is punishable by lethal injection in our country. The first thing you do is to be sure that you have a very reliable information and evidence to prove that a person is a drug dealer. The court termed this as 'beyond reasonable doubt'. Having all these in hand, then try to arrest him in the act of selling or delivering illegal drugs, but be sure that you have someone with you to help you because drug dealers are well-armed. Also try to seek help from the air patrol. If they continue to resist try to lessen their movements by using karate kick or karate chop. If they run faster than you are then fire a warning shots three times in the air. If you can see that they getting farther away from you then you can shot them at their legs to stop them from fading away from your line of vision. Good luck to you.

There are no little criminals. Breaking the laws that have been created to protect us from harm is serious business. If you're trying to do a citizen's arrest on a juvenile drug dealer, you're setting yourself up for trouble. Let the professionals handle it.

I loved it when they resisted. I got to know a lot of pretty nurses in the Emergency Room and even had my own coffee (or tea) cup at the Nurses Station. And, even if the Judge let them go I was happy in the knowledge that Justice was administered at the scene.

You get resistance, so you use force to meet this resistance. But only enough to overcome the resistance you meet. First is Verbal, as in I told you to put your hands behind your back.
Second is, Physical, Take there hands and using force pull them behind the persons back. Thirs id like Pepper spray, followed by Nightstick, and lastly BANG! No more problem

You handle them with "soft-hand" (I believe it is called) FORCE! ...means no hitting or kicking, just simple tactics to get them under control. You can use "submission" tactcs, until you get them in handcuffs. And then the fun part, you get to charge them wth resisting arrest on top of the drug charge.

There is no one single answer to this question. The term "resisting arrest" is so vague that there are literally THOUSANDS of ways to respond depending on the situation.
The appropriate response to someone running is quite different than the appropriate response to someone who is actively fighting, for instance.
