Bill gates had more money after windows XP that's all... both macro-sucks as usual

windows 98 is less fast compare than xp .means xp is the implementation of 98 .on the chip of xp more transistors are fitted so its processing poewr is also increased.and it is more fast in speed .and in all the parts xp is more convenient compare with 98.

The difference is that XP is way better in that it runs on NT instead of Dos and is a more stable operating system. I also find it nicer to try to find drivers for it as it will go find them for you in some cases. The graphics are much better too. I think that if you you have a chance to get Xp then go for it. You will not be disappointed.

they differ in:

support for different file systems

support for multithreading

support for networkings

support for security..

and many more in XP which is not in 98

windows 98 is more user friendly and doesn't bug you every time you go on line to update... XP is a updated heartburn causing version of microsoft ...both are software applications to be able to move around on your PC...Vista is the up graded...severe heartburn causing software..Bill Gates has developed to make people spend more money updating their PCs

windows XP is more for bussiness people.they can do a lot more office stuff on it.
