I would have thought that for men it is obvious. Anyway, even as a woman, I just NEVER touch anything with bare hands when in public toilets, such as door handles, cistern handles, etc. I take loo paper and flush the cistern with that, same with the door handles. I read once that the most germs are on the taps in public toilets. I never wash my hands in public toilet hand basins but take my own hand wipes and use them.
I use my coat sleeve to cover my hands when using the exit door handles.

Well technically, urine is sterile and is unlikely to carry that much harmful bacteria. It does smell though!
However, any toilet environment will have germs lurking around, so even if you're only just using a urinal, you should still wash your hands as you have to open and close the door to the toilet in the first place which is bound to have germs on it.

Do you touch/hold your penis when you urinate? If yes, that's reason enough. Unless (for some odd reason) your penis is sterile, it does have germs on it and anything you do after touching it (pressing elevator or photocopier buttons, grasping door handles, picking up the coffee pot, etc.) is spreading your germs.
As a woman, I don't pee on my hands or even touch myself when wiping, but I still wash them thoroughly after using the toilet just becase they've been in my crotch area. Besides, what if the guy (or in my case, woman) before you DID pee on their hands then they flushed the urinal (or toilet) with their p*ssy hands. You've just touched their bodily waste.

You have touched yourself, the toilet etc and it is good to wash your hands throughout the day, the germs you pick up just from touching ordinary things soon mount up and this is a good way to keep them in check.

Everybody should wash their hand after visiting the toilet not just men. It is bad habits like this that lead to the spread of MRSA and cholera and many nasty diseases

If they've used the handle to flush the toilet, there's probably germs on that - germs transferred from the backside of someone else, maybe someone with a urinary or gut infection. Urine in itself doesn't actually carry much (if any) bacteria unless there is an infection.

Unless your penis is so long while flacid that you do not have to handle it to avoid pissing on yourself then it is just common courtesy not to have penis hands,
Imagine a world where everyone touched their genitals then meandered along touching handles, escalator rails, cash and supermarket products without washing their hands....how yuk would that be?
Although while in madrid whenever i washed my hands in the ladies, all the spanish women would look disgusted as if i'd pooed on them before leaving without washing their hands.

Surely if this were true it would also relate to women, as well as men. If women don't p*** on their hands then they don't need to wash them.
You should always wash your hands because its just good cleanliness and health. Is anyone THAT busy that they don't have 10 seconds to splash some soap and water on their hands?
