I would say at least in my case that it would be faith above all. We can worry about our parents or kids or whoever we love but we have to realize that we have to enjoy the time we have with each other because life can be so fragile. The time we have with our loved ones is a gift.
The way I see to handle things is this and that they have gone on to a place of happiness and joy if they pass away and to think of it as a time away from each other but not the end. In time we shall all meet up again and though we shall miss them we shall live our lives and know that they are laughing in heaven and hoping we are happy and know we are still loved and also knowing we love them.

Make her realize that this world is a temporary dwelling for all, who is inhaling and exhaling. Every one has to die one day. Yes. it is a great loss, an irrepairable loss. but such things are bound to occur in this world. This world is quite temporary and every one has to pass away from this earth to an eternal place. Time is a great healer. After some time she will become cool and normal. It is the time which is doing all such things.

If she lives in a normal " non hostile" country and her parents are relatively young, under 75years, then she should not worry about them dying, she should worry about being independent and that will be her first step.

If they are old and ill, then she would need to spend a lot of times with them and real some religious books as they address these issue a lot. Also she needs to know NOTHING last forever and NO one lives for ever...NO ONE, that is just the reality...she must be young, she will get it as she gets a bit older.

first if your parents haven't died then enjoy them every day as they are now. Stop freaking out about what may or may not happen. I understand that no-one lives forever but what you have to do is deal with it when it happens. If you spend all the time you have with them worrying about what will happen when they die then you have wasted all that time

I spent my whole life trying to prepare for the time each of my parents would be gone. You can't prepare for it. So don't waste your life trying! Enjoy life and progress as much as possible. Spend as much quality time with your folks so that you will have fond memories of your youth with them.

The pain you will feel when they are gone will be testimony of your love for them. It hurts, BAD, but it is a sweet, sweet hurt!

Cawlu,

Honestly, I hate death! It made me understand why God tell us to love Him with all our heart and soul. My mother used to always tell me never get to close to anyone, and it me understand why she kept a distance from me. I learn there any other reasons why we should love God more than ever. He'll never fail us, He knows our what's in our hearts, and He is the best counselor in every universe. I learned, He can't died, He won't go away, and He teaches us the truth of ourselves.

Cry upon the Holy Spirit to come and bring you to Christ. Ask of Jesus to heal the wound in your heart and mind. The Lord Jesus Christ can comfort you the most!
God Bless
