Beagle owner here. Do you know what beagle means...it means "loud mouth". Try walking her on a leash outside and as soon as she starts barking give a little pull on the leash with "NO!" I think you already know how its done since you have curbed it indoors. I'd take her straight inside for 3-5 minutes. Repeat, repeat, repeat unless, of course, she is a fast learner and doesn't bark. Try this for several days and see if she catches on. If so, time to try it off lead. Then when it fails call Bark Busters.Ha! Honestly, have never heard of this and haven't a clue if it would be effective at all. I was grasping at straws there. We are on several acres in the country and ours also is a house dog. Because we aren't close to neighbors she is allowed to bay for short periods before coming back indoors. Wish I had a solution but with a beagle its pretty much second nature. Best of luck with that!

Don't really know if you can stop this... as it is what beagles do! LOL.. You might try a hush command followed by food as beagles are also big on food rewards! Be very careful about using bark busters as there have been many complaints form people that have used them. Do a search to find out more about them. You could also try a anti bark collar... though please do not use one that shocks the dog!

This is what beagles do! I have two of them myself, and they love to howl at squirrels. And we let them! It's just how beagles are, I don't think there's anyway to stop it, without bringing the dogs spirit down with it.
The only way to stop a dog from barking inside and outside is getting their vocal chords removed, which is CRUEL and no dog lover should do it.
Suck it up, enjoy your beagles lovely song!

beagles were bred to do this. they're a type of hunting dog and this is how they alerted the hunters to an animal during the hunt.
you can try a no bark collar. there are ones with different levels of shock delivered when the dog barks. there are also ones that just spray a burst of citronella in the dogs face when they bark. it is not harmful to them, just kind of annoying. they are also cheaper than the conventional bark collar. be careful how close you get though, they can be set off by human voice too. (i learned that the hard way testing one at work)
