Hyperthyroidism can be diagnosed with a simple blood test conducted by your doctor. With Bipolar, your moods tend to go up and down. With Hyperthyroidism, you will feel nervous and jittery; your mood will not fluctuate. If in doubt, contact your doctor.

I have been diagnosed as bipolar, though I don't take any treatment for it except therapy. Three years ago I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have been on levothyroxine ever since. I have not noticed a change in my symptoms of bipolarism.
It's a simple blood test to check your thyroid. If you have doubts, ask your doctor to order one.

seriously dont live in denial or you will never feel the best you can. I have bi polar and also have thyroid problems and believe it or not some cases of bipolar can be triggered by hypoactive behaviour with thyroid (so some reserch say) the sooner you accept and deal with your bipolar you can move on with your life with your condition. I have, been out of hospital addmissions for two years and just found out im expecting my third child

Hey, I don't know what medicines you are on, but if you are on Lithium, you need to have you thyroid levels tested. Lithium can make people become hypothyroid.

That happened to me and now I need to take a thyroid hormone, to keep my thyroid levels normal.
