Take a yogurt based dip to dip the veggies in. The yogurt will soothe your tummy.
Also, the cruciferous veggies-broccoli and cauliflower- emit a lot of gasses once in your stomache. Try omiting one of them and instead have carrots, celery and bell pepper strips. They are great for munching and don't create gasses as they digest. If you need to, grate a little fresh ginger into whatever dip you are using. It will calm your tummy.

If you aren't used to eating a lot of raw veggies, then cut down. It could be that you are not chewing enough and so your digestion is getting messed up. It could be that you are not drinking enough water. Drink lots and lots! It also could be just the broccoli and cauliflower as sometimes they cause gas. And try fresh fruit - strawberries, bananas, apples - what a delicious lunch you can have! Avocados - what a great food!
1. Chew well
2. drink lots of water
3. stay away from gas-forming veggies
4. fresh fruit is best
god bless

I think you need to take the time to add some additional vegetables, as Broccoli and Cauliflower can be known to produce gas in your body. Switch it up with some celery and cucumbers in addition to the other three. It probably wouldn't hurt to throw in some cooked veggies every now and then too.
Also, in line with the dip, try to add some powdered flavoring like French onion and Ranch to a cup of Cottage Cheese. Low Fat, and delicious.

Give it time, your body is used to digesting cooked vegetables, it will grow used to the raw ones. Most people I know have the same problem but backwords, your body will stop fighting it with time. good for you by the way. If you really must do the chili thing here and there try vegi chili, or make it yourself and use gound turkey or chicken as a substitute for the beef. Good luck and congradulations for your great decision.

I understand. Veggies can be rough to digest. Try soups or maybe a healthy dip to help the process. Kudos to the healthy diet, maybe more milk and dairy can help with the acid. Also, whenever in doubt, ask a M.D. You may have too much acid in your stomach induced by stress or other factors.

Some people do better when they lightly steam their veggies. It seems to make them easier to digest.
