I like Old Speckled Hen, Abbott Ale, Youngs Ordinary and quite a few others. The point about real ale is that it is only worth drinking if it is kept properly. A well conditioned pint of bitter ( and it should be slightly cold NOT warm ) is delicious but any beer can be ruined in a bad pub. Not only will it taste filthy but it will also make you ill. My best advice is to find a pub you like and trust and if you are unsure what beer to choose then ask the bartender which one has been selling well. A frequently pulled beer will be fresher than one which has been sitting in the pipe all day.

Every year my partner and i used to go to the Great British Beer Festival at Olympia(London) and she loved the beer and her favourite was a chocolate stout, but she did try loads and liked most. The first time we went we used pint pots instead of halves and got p*ssed within 1 hour tasting all the ales, we learnt from that ...lol..If you love real ale go there, every july/aug.

I love it, much tastier than lager. My favourites at the moment are Fullers Discovery, Honey Dew, Summer Ale and Jack Frost when its available. I also love all the Belguim beers and hubbies home brew is pretty good as well!

(bottled)ith Oatmeal Stout. high-quality brew. it is slightly high priced, yet soo good. (pub)Guiness Irish stout room temperature draft. there is not a finer beer I certainly have tasted. i in my opinion do not do properly with keg beers, i these days replace into made conscious that i'm allergic to hops, barley, and wheat. I certainly have hassle with common drafts, they make me extremely ill. I nonetheless pass forward and torture myself in smaller parts.
