That would be something determined by the piercer. You say its very close to the front of the tongue, but 'very close' is a very broad description and very close in your opinion might not be all that close at all. But there is always the option of having that webbing cut so that you would be able to get the piercing, however that is a medical procedure and not something you'll want a piercer to do for you.
The best thing for you to do is go a skilled and reputable piercer and have them look. If you are really not suited for the piercing, there is a chance of doing it on a slight angle to adjust, or you could even see if you are able to get two off center piercings (aka venoms). But yes there is a chance that it may not be advisable for you to get the piercings. I wish you luck.

It's very controversial this. You can pierce your tongue, but not the little thing?? Get serious. If you want tongue piercing this will not be a problem. Ask the guy who will do the piercing to you

OK, I am not going to tell you not to do this but would you please go read the articles I have posted before doing this? Tongue piercing is so very dangerous and there are risks such as your tongue getting infected and withering up for life to infection spreading through your whole body. If you must do this at least be informed of what can very likely happen.

i love how all you ask is if it can be done, and people leave rude comments telling you its gross or stupid, etc. UGH! anyways, i have a super short tongue, and i just had mine done friday. the piercer told me to stick my tongue out as far as i could so i did... he was like no, i said as far as you can... i was like, that IS as far as i can! but trust me, they should be able to. as long as some of your tongue can protrude past your lips when you stick it out it shouldn't be a problem. they'll pierce it at an angle, with the bottom closer to the tip of your tongue and the top near the middle. good luck!

some people get that bit that holds your tongue down clipped, because it may restrict movement of your tongue. i know several people who have done this, so maybe you might wanna consider that.
but of course, check first with your piercer, it probably can be done without having to snip anything.

You need to think about how much you want to get your tounge pierced. Weigh up the different sides of your own argument. Think about pain and discomfort and what about when you get older? Will you still want your tounge pierced? Have you researched infection statistics? I think you should think more about this before you get it done.
