If I had to pick anything that doesn't have a set cost of varies in cost it would be tattoos only because they are so many styles and artists. Cost depends on: Artist -credibility -history -well known -skill level Color -black Size Customization Time Parlor Location All these things play a role when paying for your tattoo. The best way to figure out a pretty close number to what you're going to pay is to pick out the the parlor or artist you like best and ask them the typical cost for what you want, before you do this make sure you already have a design in mind and on paper so you know what to tell said tattoo artist. Even if they give you a rough estimate be prepared to pay more. It is definitely a good idea to have you design idea on paper so you're not disappointed when you have a permanent drawing on your body that didn't turn out the way you wanted it to. Also, don't be surprised if you have to fork over a lot of money for a good quality tattoo, that **** is permanent.

Most artists charge in the $100/hr range. So it depends on the ammount of detail. I've spent $1200 so far on my half sleeve, with another $200 session to go. Luckily my artist will charge $500/day and he will work as long as you can stand it (which saves me a fair bit of money as I usually get large pieces...but it does mean that it's longer in between sessions, as it takes a while to save up the $$). Keep in mind that covering up or re-building old tats can be a lot more time consuming than tattooing unmarked skin. Be prepared to spend at least a few grand.

it all depends on the artist and how they charge. most artists will charge by the hour on something when there is no real way to tell how long it will take. and depending on how detailed the sleeve is it could take 15-40 hours to complete. so i will just GUESS and say anywhere between $1500 and $4000. but there is really no way to know unless you contact your artist and talk about all of that.
the most important thing to do tho is to pick a talented artist who will make your tattoo worth the time and money put into it. get someone who is good at coverups. not all artists are good at them and it would be a shame to get a bad coverup.

a good one, meaning not cheap. over a thousand. i dont know where these people are getting some of these numbers....but it's pretty ridiculous. haha. alot of good artists wont even do a tattoo for less than say a couple hundred bucks. but i guess if you want it crappy, pay 300 for a sleeve...but you probably couldnt even get a half sleeve for that.

I have a half sleeve, from my wrist to my elbow, it cost me roughly $700.00. I got several different color pieces over the last 15 yrs, then had a black and grey piece added to the background a yr ago. It really depends on how much color and details you are planning on having in your design. Go to a shop and get a rough estimate.

I just got a half sleeve, but its raw as he!l. Theres many different flowers and dragonflies and its a tad bit of tribal but its all color. It cost me 900.00 dollars. Maybe I was jipped but hey you get what you pay for and mine is off the chain. expect to pay more going in so when they tell you the price it doesnt scare you. My bet is 500-900 dollars.

A good sleeve would definetly be in the thousands. Who ever thinks it would be cheap must be talking about tattoos done by a second grader with magic markers.
