Mix dry food in with his soft food, just a few pieces..Gradually increase the amount that you add to his soft food, untill it is finally moslty the dry kibbles.
Be patient if he is eating around them at first. he may be just getting his last molars, so it would be hard to chew..But don't give up..
Warm it a bit in the microwave, if he balks at eating it..

You need to swap food over gradually. I would mix about 10% of the kibble into your dogs usual food so the mix is 90% wet 10% dry and feed this for a couple of days. Then do an 80/20 mix for a couple of days then 70/30 and so on every few days until you have switched over completely. The alternative is to leave a bowl of kibble out for the dog all the time and only give him 2 very small meat meals each day until he has started eating the dry. Make sure the dry is a good quality feed and not cereal based one.

Yes yes, mix the wet food and the dry food. The thing about mixing the wet and dry food is that if the dog don't eat it then after awhile the food will have a strong smell. The same goes to softening the dry food with liquids. Better to put two bowls of food, one wet and one dry food. Lessen the portion on the wet food. Best recommended dry food is Solid Gold (holistic). It contains, potatoes and fish (fishes that live in the middle of the sea/ocean). Therefore the fishes are healthier. My dog is a fussy eater. But she loves solid gold.

You can try 1 or 2 ways. 1 mix dry food in with the wet and slowly decrease the amount of wet food added. 2 put out dry food and nothing else a healthy animal will not starve itself.. the pup my go a while but will eat the food in the end. Make sure to provide plenty of fresh clean water!

This is what I did. I give each of them a small can of mighty dog a day, but there is always dry dog food in their dish at all times. They end up nippling on the dry dog food thru out the day. All you need to do is find a dry dog food that he likes. That is the hard part.
Shih Tuz's are very stubborn dogs, most of the time they win lol.
They are just to cute for their own good.

The way I've done that before is by adding a little dry to it's wet food and increasing until it's eating pure dry.

Have you tried mixing a small ammount of kibble with the canned food each time you feed him, increasing the kibble and decreasing the canned food each time? This usually works. Make sure that the kibble you feed is a good quality one. Also look for one that has small pieces of kibble.

Gradually keep adding more dry food, and less wet food until it is eventually gone out of the equation. you should have never started him on wet food
