Snakes do not contain "poison", unless the snake previously ate an animal(such as a rat)that had been poisoned. Some snakes have VENOM, which is different from poison in that venom is an organic compound secreted by specialized glands, which must be injected into the bloodstreat or lymphatic system to cause any harm. A poison, on the other hand, is something that can cause harm if injested(swallowed)or inhaled. Unless the dog was BITTEN by a venomous snake, it would be no different from him eating any other kind of meat. There is the risk of him injesting parasites with the meat, or having issues with a bone at some point(snakes have many, many fine pointy bones, like some fish), but not of being "poisoned". Many predators regularly kill and eat snakes, canines being one of them.

The poison of a snake must be injected into the blood to be harmful

Eating the snake won't hurt the dog.
