we do like each other and he wants me to be girlfriend but I do not know what to tell him !!!! because we have a different religion and he keeps on talking about this issue every time we talk together??!!! is thier any solution i am almost lossing his friendship becasue of that

I think you're going to have to accept the possibility that you will lose his friendship.
The way you posed your question makes it clear, you already know what to tell him, you sound like you need encouragement to do so.

i think people who like each other should accept one another for who they are. if they can't, then maybe you shouldn't be more than friends. further down the road, you will find someone who will love you for you. my sister and bro-in-law have different religions and so far so good. when there are major religous holidays, they try to accomodate one another but when one or the other feels uncomfortable, he or she simply does not participate.
