How can anyone have missed hats with dangling corks (to keep the flies at bay)?
Most animals: kangaroos, koalas, platypuses (well, platypi, actually), wombats, emus, kookaburras, cockatoos, crocs, snakes
Uluru (AKA Ayers Rocks)
Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney Opera House
Rolf Harris, Dame Edna, Steve Irwin, Skippy, Paul Hogan, Kylie (Crocodile Dundee), Ned Kelly
Neighbours and Home and Away
Thongs (AKA flip-flops), stubbies (short shorts), singlets (vests), especially when combined with a cork hat!
Zinc (heavy-duty sunscreen), especially across the bridge of the nose
Surf lifesavers

The Great Barrier Reef, The Great Ocean Road, Ayers Rock, Sydney Harbor, Australian Beaches, rain forests etc. The natural beauty of the country is what I think of most when I descibe Australia!
