I am an atheist, but for the sake of the world, can we come to some kind of common understanding that what God, Allah...etc is the force that preceded what we all know. Can we all live by human rights? No, my heart is not done bleeding.

I see already that most of you have failed to see the point. Instead of killing each other could we love each other in an einsteinian sense as opposed to a more literal sense.
WHEN VOTING PLEASE READ ALL ANSWERS....THE FIRST ONES HERE ARE NOT VERY GOOD.

Great answer SUMMER! I think many people associate muslim religion with the muslim controlled states. If we take religion out of politics, we can all understand each other under a common law. I believe that we as humans will eventually accept each other or we will radiologically destroy ourselves.

You are an Atheist - since you have no religion, which is your choice & right. In all fairness , i am not preaching to you but I am asking you (you may do it or you may not) Please read the Quran , it is a book that could have only come from God, I am not asking you to become muslim, Just read the Quran with an open mind & forget about whats showing in the media & what a few groups of extremist are doing. Read only what the Quran says & if you can read the Quran with understanding, you will discover the true religion of Islam & not the one fabricated by the media.
I am a born muslim living in South Africa , In the past 2 years i have began researching Islam & honestly I am proud to be muslim, it is a religion(if followed according to the Quran) of peace, love, understanding, humbleness, forgiveness & honesty.
If i had a second chance to change my life thier are 2 things i would not change, My Religion & My parents. Please try & understand the simple beauty of Islam. I sometimes wonder why the world refuses to see the true Islam, they judge all muslims based on the actions of a few, which is sad because i do not judge all christians based on the millions of muslims the crusaders killed, or i do not hate all Jews for the few that have killed thousands of muslims. The world does not hate all Germans for the killing of many jews & the world does not hate christians for the Crusaders or for the christian groups that burn out abortion clinics. So if the world can seperate Nationalities & other religions from the crimes of a few. Why cant the world give the world give the same fairness to Islam.
I understand that you want peace for all & i agree, the Quran preaches peace. I would like nothing better than for the world to respect eachother , the quran teaches us to respect all religions & not to force anyone to become muslim, people should discover the truth of Islam on thier own. In islam muslims are only suppose to fight unless people are fighting with them. ( you are not suppose to initiate any harm on any person)

If you look up and define each name, Allah, Jesus, God, Lord, YHWH, YAHWEH, Elohim, etc.....they all come out as the same type of definition.....the almighty, the ever lasting, the great divine one, all knowing.
For even the bible states that God spread his people out upon the earth to confuse them till the end days. Since we can understand each others religion and research it some....to me this is a clue to the end days.
But that can be good....for it does say the truth about religion will be revealed. Maybe that we are all worshiping the same one, but just don't realize it due to our language, culture and back grounds.
I personally have not one thing against Muslims, those in Iran, etc. If we go to war with them, it will be a sad day on man kind. For one....Iran and USA use to be very good friends. And if anyone has seen Iran, the people, etc....you will realize they are not all the different than Americans.
PEOPLE of this world need to stop letting governments do all this "crap" to us all. For they are the responsible. If we want to fight someone else, we get put in jail for it....but the rich and elite can wage war on each other when they have a dislike. Time to throw the over rich babies out, for they are not mature nor logical.

I speak as a Muslim woman who has an open mind to the ways of other people. I am sorry that your question, intended to open positive dialogue, is being treated so poorly and ignorantly and so arrogantly as it is by many here, both Christian and Muslim alike. I appreciate what you are trying to do. Thanks for trying but sadly racism and religious intolerance are big stuff in Yahoo. silly hmm? All that energy wasted when it might be put to good use on something IMPORTANT.
Perhaps it is because I am a product of the West as well as Muslim and see things from a broader more world-peace perspective. Maybe it is because I am also very aware of where this destructive trend of polarization and hatred is taking us.
To me the point is that if we do not put aside these petty differences of creed and saw each other as fellow human beings, we would be able to unite against the real evil we face.
The Illuminati have divided and polarized the human race to weaken us. A house divided falls with ease, a house united can withstand a great deal. I personally refuse to play their game and embrace all regardless of colour or creed. I go by personal ethics which are irrelevant to these standards.
IF mankind does not unite against our common enemy, we are sunk. They have used this technique to conquer nations for hundreds of years. Now they still make obscene profits from war while polarizing Muslim from Muslim, Muslim from Christian, Democrat from Republican, black from white, and the list of divisions goes on. We must also accept responsibility for letting this be done to us!
WE MUST PUT ALL THESE INCONSEQUENTIALS ASIDE AND GET ON WITH THE BUSINESS OF SURVIVAL AGAINST THE STORM THAT IS THREATENING.AROUND US! IF WE DO NOT, WE WILL LOSE THE FREEDOM TO EVEN HAVE OUR OWN RELIGION!

For that, all factions would have to tolerate the beliefs of each other [I would not point at the Muslims alone] - that is a bit too optimistic. But yes, we can have a more tolerant society, if only people take the trouble to go past their REPENT NOW stances (I refer to all major religions).
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they are all praying to the same God. And isn't it ironic, that to such a question as this, there are already hateful replies.
Cheers & God bless.

There is no need to embrace a god that one does not believe in or admire. That would be a LIE. One can recognize Muslims without becoming one.

America already recognizes Muslims. That doesn't mean we have to embrace false teaching. They have human rights here. Not in their own countries tho.
