My year 12 ball is on in a month..
I asked a boy from a different school and he said yes.
Does that mean i should buy his ticket or does he pay for himself?
I dont mean to be rude but my dress hair and make up cost me nearly a thousand, i dont want to pay for his ticket on top of all the other things, but i feel rude if i dont, i wouldnt mind paying half of his. Im low on cash as i just bought a car so any ideas on how to ask him to pay for himself without seeming rude? thanks in adv.

Absolutely you should pay for his ticket regardless if you have the money or not. You asked him to escort you to YOUR event. It would be rude to make someone pay for a ticket for an event they wouldn't have gone to in the first place. It will show the you appreciate him taking the time to come and escort you and you are showing that you appreciate him doing so. When I was in high school a few years ago I asked a guy friend to come with me to my homecoming dance and I paid for his ticket and dinner. It was my way to show that I appreciated it. Good Luck!!

No, Baby Girl, he is escorting YOU to YOUR ball. Let him pay for his own. Don't worry he won't mind. Let him take care of himself, okay. The prize or privilege is being chosen to come and you be on his arm.
