That he needs a creator. Alot of atheists think this question proves all Christians are fools : "If God created Earth, who created God?"
Reasonably, if God created the Earth, he would've created the dimensions of time. This means that he lives outside the realms of time and it's limitations - meaning he is eternal. If God is eternal, this means he doesn't need a creator, or origins. He just - is.

That just because we lead a good life, God will reward us, since, after all, a loving God would not punish a person who really tried to be a good person.
Why is it that just being "good" is not sufficient for God?
In order to understand why just being "good" is insufficient; you would need to understand the concept of a perfectly holy and righteous being. Such a being would hate ALL sin and would be bound by the being's perfectly just nature to render judgment for the unjust. Just as we expect justice in this world, albeit imperfect at times, so does this being, God. Fortunately, a perfect being like God will render perfect justice, too.
While it is hard to hear, there are none righteous in the perfect God's eyes, even "good" people.
So how is a perfect God's demand for justice for sin reconciled with our own imperfections? Here we find that God came up with a perfect solution. He became flesh, lived a perfect life, and acted as our representatives in God the Father's court of justice. There He was judged and crucified, carrying all the past and future world's sins with his crucifixion. God the Son, Christ, became our sin bearer and we need only acknowledge that sacrifice to be made "justified" in God's eyes and in God's demand for justice for sin.
Think of it this way. Your son does something like breaking a neighbor's window. Yet your son is too young to be made to pay for his crime. Society demands that the parent then act in the son's role and pay for these crimes. Likewise, God the Father allows God the Son to be humankind's representative. Christ paid the price for us all; it is there in the justice bank of God. We need only claim our "share" of that account's balance and present ourselves to God.
I have simplified much of the doctrines behind these concepts. I suggest you do some careful study of the attributes of God to digest these hard sayings. Start with some basic introductions to theology, especially the attributes of a perfect being (God) and go from there.

I am a minister and have been talking with people from all over the world representing many denominations and the single most common misconception is that God is (all loving) meaning that no matter what God will still love us
THe bible is clear that God is love and his love is deeper and differentt han man's but itis equally clear that God has an angry and wrathful side as well.
He also has a point that he gives up on people individually and as a nation or world completly.

That God hates sinners. God loves the sinner but hates the sin.
In John 3:16 "God so loved the world . . . " God loves all His creation including creatures big and small and man unconditionally. The way God has provided for mankind who have sinned and to be reconciled to Him is to believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior. God is not angry with mankind but wants them to be His children through Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life so that they can enjoy eternity with Him..

Different religions have different concepts about God. As per Islam, the biggest conception about God is to deny His existence and to associate anyone else with Him. The "Atheists" do not believe in God. To these people, Quran says "Is it easier to create the Sky and the Earth or you"? Nothing in this world has been created by chance or all of a sudden by just someone. If a pebble cannot be created by man, then how can this whole Universe be made by none? Even if this world has come by chance, who is rising the Sun from the East and sets in the West. Is there anyone in this world who can change rising and setting of the sun?And the Quran has spoken of this in various places.
Allah says in Chapter 27, verses:60 -63)
60.Or, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who sends you down rain from the sky? Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty of delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them. (Can there be another) god besides Allah. Nay, they are a people who swerve from justice.
61. Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah. Nay, most of them know not.
62. Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah. Little it is that ye heed!
63. Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah.- High is Allah above what they associate with Him!
These verses show a clear proof of God. Associating anything with God mean to worship any false god who has no power himself nor on others. Although, God can't be seen, but He has shown himself through His creations. Just like, without seeing Air, Power, Energy, sugar in blood, vitamins and minerals in the body and so on, we accept their presence. Or even asking help from those people who have passed away which is seen in many people. When people ask help from the graves of religious people. All these are the biggest misconceptions about God.
May Almighty God lead the whole world to the right path. Hope the answer is clear to understand.

The biggest is that Jesus is God.
Jesus was created, he was the first born of all creation and was Jehovah's master worker in that he was instructed by his father to make all other things.
Jehovah is from time indefinite to time indefinite and was not created.
People pray to Jesus when in fact Jesus prayed to his father , Jehovah, and taught us how to pray to him also.
Jesus said Jehovah is the hearer of prayers and that he was like a door. That no one got to the father except through him. So when we end each prayer we must say, through Jesus Christ Amen.
Jesus came to earth as a man, and the scriptures say that no man has seen God at any time and lived.
Jesus died, he went to hell ( the grave ) for 3 days and nights. God cannot die.

People think that God does not see.
Psalm
7 They say, "The Lord does not see us; the God of Israel does not notice."
9 God made our ears?can't he hear? He made our eyes?can't he see? 10 He scolds the nations?won't he punish them? F90 He is the teacher of us all?hasn't he any knowledge? 11 The Lord knows what we think; R102 he knows how senseless our reasoning is.
Even I once thought, He does not see, but I was wrong.I thought so that noone will see or understand my sin.

...the biggest misconception about God is his Perfection.
And the second biggest is his Omnipotence.
He has proven himself without a doubt to be imperfect for making so many mistakes since creation till now.... but ALWAYS covering it up with " O Ye of little faith, I did that on purpose, you shall see it is a part of my grand master plan 1000 years from now"
He has proven himself to be Non-Omnipotent, for if he claims to love humanity THAT much, why not end all suffering with a blink of an eye? instead of the excuse, " O Ye of little faith, I did that on purpose, you shall see it is a part of my grand master plan 1000 years from now"....
