i thought this guy liked me but then he stopped calling me and when i went to talk to him he's sort of quiet. and then the last time i talked to him i punched him in the arm (trying to be playfull) but he got all defensiv and was like 'why did you punch me?'. do i call him or...?

Call him and apologize to him for the "playful" hitting of his arm. Guys are usually taught it is 100 % wrong to hit a woman, so he is probably wondering why you did it to him, playful or not.

NOPE! WHY? Well, add these hints up: #1 He stopped calling you #2 He was sorta quiet last time you went to talk to him # 3 He got all defensive instead of being playful back. Does this add up to someone that still wants you? You must know he has already called it quits with you. You deserve better!! Cross him off your list.
