Just because you're worried what your parents would think of your love. And they truly wouldnt have any rational reason, their prejeduce would be based upon race or age or social standing. If you did, did you regret it later?

I'm not the one who was considering dumping anyone, I believe that it's my life and as an adult I am responsible for my choices. I would follow my heart.

Who cares what other people think? I understand that you feel obligated to respect your parents' wishes but if you really love this person then you will stay with them regardless of other people's thoughts and feelings towards your relationship. Just do what makes you happy. You shouldn't be forced to break up with your true love. Just follow your heart. Good Luck! :) And I hope this helped!

i would not dump someone because of racial or social prejeduce. if my family or friends did not like how that treated me that would be a different story, but not because of their preferences. my cousin white did not break up with her black boyfriend even though her mom, my aunt, was racist. now they are married and have two kids and my aunt is as active in their lives as any other mother/grandmother i know is. it just may take time for others to accept their permenance in your life

i say because you did that ,and you did not listen to your heart, you are accountable for the regret and guilt that you will feel, if i do love a person trully, i wouldnt care what my parents would say
