How frequent should my 3 1/2 month min-pin take a bath?

I wouldn't say all that often, especially in the winter as they are so small they can catch colds easier than a big dog. You really don't have to bathe dogs that often. I'd say once every 2 or 3 months, tops. Hope this helps, I love Min Pin's they are so cute!

I would advise against him taking a bath by its self... (smiles)

A min pin is really a clean little dog without much odor about them. They have these doggy wipes (like baby wipes) that you could get for him so you can hold off the bathing till nicer weather. You don't want to dry his skin out either... and too many baths will do just that.

aww a baby!

I give my mini pins a bath every 3 wks-month an a half. what i recommend bc they are so little, and yours is still a baby, use baby shampoo, maybe an oatmeal or regular. Becuase it makes their skin and coat soft, clean, and they smell really really good! I even do it for my Big Dobermans. and it smells like i have lots of babies in my home. It smells wonderful! i love it! but if you want a flea an tick preventative, then buy K-9 advantex for small breed puppies at a pet store, or anywhere actually where theres a pet asile, for 3-4bucks and it works better.
also, to keep the doggie smell away, if it has a nylon collar bc alot of the dirt and smell gets caught in it too, wash it too
Also once a week, take warm water, a washcloth, a little bit of baby shampoo, and even though you cant see or smell dirt, wash his/her legs and feet ONLY bc you can strip the dog of its natural oils on its back where they mostly are, but if therir skin gets red and flakey on his legs or even back, then that means your washing him too much. and you need to keep him out of water for 2-4 weeks..

. And buy a doggie Cologne, and spray him/her when ever they get a bit stinky, or a couple drops of your favorite purfume.
And buy some furniture fabreeze, to spray your home if your house starts to smell too. Thats how my house always smells like a basket of roses and Babies! lol i hate doggie smell! but i love dogs!
