If you are alluding to what I think you are alluding to, loving sexual union between husband and wife is an analogue of the *beatific vision* in which all the soul's desires are fulfilled in heaven, in union with God, who is the *absolute supreme good|*
It is meant to establish absolute ecstatic union and generate new life too| Some theologians and philosophers have said that it is the one thing from paradise that was retained after the fall in the garden of Eden|
Pope John Paul II said in his "Theology of the Body" that sexual intercourse is an icon of the Blessed Trinity| (something that most people don't know about that stogy conservative)|
The moral rules are there, not because sex is an evil, but because it is such a high good that any abuse of it is a terrible sacrilege|
