I work in a restaurant and the other day this woman and her freind came through and said that to me. Does it simply mean I have a big butt because I didnt take it as a complement.

It was probably meant as a compliment, but it was racist. A ghetto booty implies a black girl with a large shapely backside, considered desireable by men.
