Yes, there are hundreds of diretories which will include practicing doctors. You have to know the area in which he is, such as London, Manchester, etc. Then you go to the local telephone directory and check uinder his surname.
If he works with National Health, then check him under the employor. etc., etc.
Alternatively, you can check via yahoo or google (UK) only by typing his name.

use the list of registered doctors (held by GMC http://www.gmc-uk.org/register/) to find his location, from there try yell.co.uk or bt.com using location and his name helps if you know if he's a hospital doctor or gp......
