they can be. my youngest girl - just last year - made us laugh... my two older daughters and myself are terrified of spiders and a huge one ran across the carpet. i threw a phone book on top of it and killed it... but i wouldnt touch or get rid of the body of the spider.... we sat for 20 mins deciding who was gonna move it out of the house and how. then laury walked into the room, realised the situation and shook her head and tutted... walked into the kitched and got the hoover... turned it on and sucked up the spider.. "now how hard was that" she said. we all fell about in creases laughing that it took an almost 4 year old to show us the easy way out of the situation.

At this age and for a few more years to come the whole world is a big adventure to children - my own girls are 6 and 8 now and the six year old still has a different orbit to the rest of us... make the most of every moment you have with her and treasure them in your heart.

They are so funny. My daughter is 3. She has me in stitches every day with something she comes out with. Can't think of one just now, I just got out of bed.
The way they see the world is so sweet too. When she was about 20 months old we were out in the garden and I pointed to a daisy in the grass and asked her what it was. Expecting 'flower' for an answer she came out with 'grass star'.
Oh to see the world through a childs eyes.

I love listening to little three year olds talking. They are so sharp. A friend of mine's little boy ate too much ice-cream and ran outside, when he came back his mom asked him what the matter was and he said he was boiling over by his mouth. Trouble is they are sooo honest they say just what they think if a person is fat they will ask their parents why the person is so fat . Kids do say the funniest things:)))

Yes, and that little remark shows how smart they are too!
When my own son was about that age a neighbor gave him a cupcake with sprinkles. He immediately began removing the green sprinkles while leaving the other colors. When she asked what he was doing he replied, "I don't eat green sings (*things)". Some things you never forget.

Now THAT is a very interesting combination indeed - a Scottish Medusa, who sings like the Sirens that tried to lure Ulysses onto the rocks ( only in your case it was a rock band ).

Well I too was living in London for almost five years during the days of the FLOWER POWER and worked as a Commercial Artist and studied film-making and even produced a couple of short ones.

I too 'try' and play the acoustic guitar ( even composed a few 'jingles' for my TV Commercials ) and even though it was all motivated by the KING, Elvis himself - whom I used to IDOLIZE, I mostly 'try' and play Spanish Flamenco now.

I too have been blessed with a very full and fulfilling life - but that has all changed now.

But getting back to the blessing of having a grandchild to pamper and 'spoil' - I envy you because I don't think that one can have a more precious gift than that.

However, fate had other things in mind for me - hence....!!!

Look Scotty, if you like then you can write to me directly on my email address maxalikhan@yahoo.com and maybe we can exchange some beautiful nostalgic things that we each experienced !

Best Regards,
MAX ( the FUNGUY ).
