Actually I think it helps me more than the asker! I have always felt this wealth of useless knowledge running around in my head. Now that I have found Yahoo Answers I can relieve the pressure up there and let some of it out! I'd like to think something up there in my head will be useful to somebody and help them in some small way. It is my personal contribution to mankind! Ha Ha

Most of the time it's boredom. I try not to rip on others, though sometimes it's very hard not to. I do try to answer with something well thought out and intelligent, but sometimes it's so easy to be a smart@$$. But, to answer your question, boredom.

I want to be tolerant of other faiths & other beliefs but it is almost impossible here there are no discussions I am not a Fundamentalist I don't Rip people or insult them

Mainly I in this R&S site just to correct all the misconception of others regarding my religion ISLAM...and so far I can see the hostility towards my religion ISLAM is tremendous due to all the misguided theory.
I feel sorry for all the ignorant people.

i think it's a little bit of all of it. you can make this site work for you however you'd like it to. i know some people just joke around or are lurkers, but personally i like it because i can turn some of my thoughts into words, which is a big help for others around me who tire of my endless contemplation.

Theres tht one nerve i worry about, that one woman are always tooling with, you know the synaptic nerve. While im doing this its all better.
