Basically today I noticed a suspicious looking car driving around my apartment complex primarily focusing on my apartment in particular meaning the person would stop in front of my apt and then take off real quick and before seeing the car i would get three loud bangs on my front door and by the time I got to the door I couldn't see anyone through the peep hole. Then later on this evening I was coming back from the store and seen this same car parked in front of my apt sitting there my fiance' said the car had been there for 30 minutes just sitting there staring at the door. It is nobody that we know and I have a real uneasy feeling about this I have a 15 month old little boy and I am home alone all day Tuesdays and Thursdays til 11pm because my fiance' works from 5-4pm and then teaches from 5-10:30pm I am so nervous about being here by myself with my son. I have notified the cops and they are doing what they can but I still have an uneasy feeling that this guy might try to hurt me

or worst of all my son. This car circled my apt 5 or more times and I had someone beat on my door 4 times today. The response time for our cops out here is horrible it took them 20 minutes to respond to my call tonight and that would be enough time for this man to do damage then leave before getting caught. I am super scared and unable to sleep because I fear for my son and mines safety here right now. This was far too suspicious and far too leary for me and it is not sitting right with me and I just have a horrible feeling in my gut about this person. I don't know what to do or what I would do if this person did try to get into my home.

THIS IS NOT AN EX LOVER OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT OR EVEN SOMEONE THAT MY FIANCE' OWES MONEY TO HE IS NOT THAT KIND OF PERSON. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS PERSON BEFORE AND NEITHER HAS MY FIANCE'. MY FIANCE' IS VERY UPFRONT AND HONEST WITH ME AND HAD NEVER HIDDEN ANYTHING FROM ME BEFORE. NEITHER ONE OF US HAVE DONE ANYTHING TO TICK ANYONE OFF SO I DON'T KNOW WHY OUR APT WAS PICKED OUT OF OVER 100 DIFFERENT ONES.

It could be someone that your fiance owes money too and he is not telling you about it or he could be cheating on you and it is a woman that is doing this.
You got to sit and wonder "have i done anything towards anyone to make them hate me?"
Buy a gun for safety and make sure your doors are locked but if your so scared go stay with someone else for a while.

Is There someone that can come and stay with you at your apartment on the two nights your fiance is not home? Like your dad or a brother, or one of your fiance's friends. Even if it is another female friend as long as someone else is there. Can you afford to install a video camera at your door so you can see who it is and get a pic for the police to see. That way they can comapre it to pics at the police station to see if they have a record. When you hear someone bang on the door loudly yell that you have a gun. It might be enough to scare them off.

get as much detail as you can. Make and model of the car-- license plate number. Try to get as much detail on the persons in the car (ie wearing blue jacket -- wire rimmed glasses) as MUCH detail as possible, do NOT answer the door and keep bugging the police. If this keeps up after tonight then by all means try to stay with a friend or relative for a few days until the matter has resolved. Keep your head-- remember panicking won't help you or your child. Hope it works out.

I dont blame you for being scared. The cops will get there way faster then 20 minutes if an emergency came up.They took 20 minutes because this guy really has not done nothing wrong yet.You need to stay near the window as much as possible to get a decription of the car and plates.Ask neighbors to help you with this too.Keep your baby near you at all times. If he sleeps alone have him sleep with you until you no longer feel danger.take a baseball bat or pipe to bed with you.Put it next to the bed just incase you need it.I would say get a gun but with your baby there that is the last thing you need since most guns hurts and kills those who lives in the home with the gun.I had a stalker once and the cops said he is not commiting a crime but did search his vehicle on suspision and arrested him for unregister gun and he had knifes, tape and rope in his car along with alot of dope and open containers so I got lucky. He went to jail and I have not seen him since. If you have any brothers or uncles have them come stay with you for a week or two.I feel bad for you.I know what it`s like to live in your own home scared and checking every noise you hear.I wish the best for you and your baby.

I agree. It does sound like someone is stalking you. I would advise you to keep a baseball bat either beside the door, within easy reach or on hooks above the door where you can raise your arms and get it. Also keep one beside your bed. A hammer under your pillow might be a good idea too. Have some kind of signal system with anyone you think might drop by, if you want to see them. Otherwise, don't answer the door and be sure your deadbolt is locked. If anyone gets into your apartment, don't hesitate to use the bats or the hammer. Also, keep your son in the room with you. Living in fear of ANYTHING is terrible.

That is really scary. I wonder why they are banging on your door...maybe they've got your apartment confused with someone else's. Did you get their license plate number and a description for the police? I would talk to the apartment complex, and explain to them that the person, a complete stranger, is banging on your door and harassing you constantly and you don't know why, and ask them to make a police report stating that the person is not allowed on their property. Then the police would be able to arrest the person for trespassing.
Do you have a relative in town you could visit tomorrow? That might be your best bet, because it sounds like that person has something serioiusly wrong to be doing that to you. Personally I'd open my door with my gun in hand and see what the hell they wanted, but I live in Texas and we love our guns here.
Be careful, sweetie...just reading about this was scary to me.

Get this prick's license # or at least a good description of him and call the police again. If you have any strong male friends, have them over ocassionally to help you out. Once a guy was stalking one of ex's friends and he ran like hell when I charged him with a base ball bat. Think about it- a gorilla with a bat=scary. But try all of these things and ask your boyfriend exactly what he is into.

Can you go and stay with your mum or sister or friends while you are alone? how scary you poor thing or can you get someone, prefferably a male one of your fiances friends to come around and sit with you and - answer the door next time it gets knocked on. Dont you answer the door get him or one of his friends to. You never know they might think that someone else lives there?
Also can you talk to your neighbours and let them know what has been going on that way people are aware and could be on the lookout for you if trouble starts to happen.

i suggest u go to a good well known neighbors OR better yet a nearby relative or friend for tues and thurs. this could be an enraged ex or maybe an obssessed loser. but wat ever u do don stay alone! and yes i know wat u mean about the cops things. once i had an experience where one of our neighbors knew me and my 3 lil brothers stayed home alone b.c our parents worked late and got out til 3am.. well he tried brakin in.. i live 2 mins away from the police station and yet they took 40 mins to get to my house!!! dont depend on the cops to be there if anythin happens. for the sake of ur child and ur own go with a friend or family member.. and if possible move. im sure that person wont stop botherin u if u continue to live there.

I do hate to sound rude, but "if" I were in your situation, I wouldn't ask a darn computer what I should do!! I would either get a weapon, and a neighbor/companion to go with me and ask what the hell they wanted, OR, I would get my kid and get the hell outta there for awhile. I'm sure your fiance' is a nice man, but if something like that were going on around my home, my husband dam sure wouldn't leave me and his children to worry about it on our own. He would run them the hell off, or take me elsewhere! If you're man is no more concerned than that, then I would seriously reconsider him! Hell, if I called my hubby at work and told him someone did that to me, he would leave frickin skidmarks coming home!!! You and him both need to get a grip.
