she tolerates cheese, etc. I have tried soy milk it has the same effect as does Lactaid, matter of fact Lactaid gives her a rash that literally burns her skin in a matter of moments after having a BM. I am now using pediasure and it seems to be working, it seems she is constipated with pediasure. Any suggestions on alternate drinks I can give her to produce a happy medium and give her the benefits milk holds for a toddler?

She eats a healthy balance of foods plus fresh fruits and veggies. I have spoken with the Dr. and she didn't seem too concerned she told me to pull her off of all dairy for 2 weeks and it should clear up, it did but only for the 2 weeks.
She is drinking a lot of water now and I only give whole fruit juice mixed with some water so it is not so concentrated with sugar.

Milk does not provide the benefits, espoused by the dairy industry, as you may think. If it were my two year old, I would give her plenty of water and the correct nutrition. As a mum of three young boys, I always wanted to do the best I could for them. I was not even aware of the harmful ingredients that was in the shampoo, toothpaste, sunscreen and other personal care products I was using. I heard a couple of testimonies about children with allergies. That once they were given the correct nutrition and the toxins were removed from their body, they were then able to tolerate many of the foods previously not. If you would like to know where to access safe products and superior quality nutritionals, please email me on leanne27@aapt.net.au

These are common problems with children that are able to digest the protien in milk. Personally I would take her to a allergist and see what they say. However my son is also 2 and he still drinks Prosobee formula. This is what his pediatrician recommended. The pediatrician also said to give him grape juice in the place of his milk. Hopefully this information will help. But please remember that allergic reactions can become worse each time they come in contact with the allergen.

I know my neice who is at the same age has a similar problem and it is because she doesn't consume enough water so there is alot acid in her pee. Plus some high fatty foods will cause diarrhea. But talk to a pediatrician about the problem. She could be lactose intollerant and needs medication for it.

Never use those things which produces allergic symptoms. People don't know that anaphylactic shock is also an allergic condition & it can kill a person within minutes if not treated imediately & also repeated use of allergens may lead to Anaphylatic Shock. So beware.

The first thing you need to do is contact your doc about this. If the pedia sure is constipating then try putting karo syrup in it before she drinks it. Also you can try giving her small amounts of prune juice. Do talk to the doc about all of this though.

get rid of the dairy (including the pediasure).
Cheese and yogurt and cultured and are sometimes better tollerated, they should provide plenty of calcium/protein/fat...
Stick to water.

Did you know that they sell calcium-fortified orange juice? Also there are chewable calcium pills on the market; you can even get them at Walmart.

I would run that one by your child's pediatrician. It's best to get professional advice and not take any chances. Good luck. Hope your little one gets the help she needs.
