My gym does not have a area to stretch out. Where is the most accepted place to do this? Is it okay to stretch infrount of one's machine or should it be done in the back of the room/off to the side?

Kind of odd that there isn't a space to stretch... I normally stretch near the cardio room or on the situp mats.... Also on the corners of the track when they're open, but I was a member of a Warehouse sized place. If you feel comfortable stretching in front of your machine.... ie: treadmill, eliptical or other cardio machine in order to warm up and not lose the machine, I say go for it.

near the sit up mats by the window. Dont stretch in front of your machine. I hate when people claim a machine 5-10 minutes before they actually use it, when i could get on and be finished before they even start.

best bet, just out of the way where people dont usually walk. just steer clear until ready to use the machines.
