Does a verbal or printed attack upon the political efforts of the Dick Chaney/George Bush administration do anything to support the Armed Forces or is there any demoralizing effect, in this day and age of massive communications..?

How do shout loud and clear about your dissafaction with the war efforts, and being in Iraq, without the troops hearing about your feelings and thoughts of being in Iraq...?

Can you seperate the two issues or are they connected....the war in Iraq and support for the troops..?

Your thoughts.....

After being in Iraq for as long as we have now, I believe that most every person over there knows of the general public feelings of dissatifaction of us being there. At the same time they should have heard the message loud and clear, we support the troops that are over there. They didn't ask to be put into this situation. Some of us have made our feelings well known prior to us ever going over there. WE SHOULDN'T BE THERE!
Of course the republicrats started their campaign that said if you are against us going there then your against our troops. That was pure BULLSH.. !! Again, a few of us knew that but they managed to fool most of the people for a few years.
Anyone with half a brain (well, most anyone) can seperate these two issues and I'm sure that includes the people that are over there and the ones who have been there and came back. It's a shame more people didn't understand this when they we first went there. I'm sure if the public had known now what was going to happen we would have saved hundereds of our armed forces lives because the idiots in office wouldn't have commited so much to this if they thought they wouldn't be re-elected!

Yes it is Demoralizing. Magority of the Troops are Proud of their Job. They are Thank ful for Presidents like President Bush who takes a stand. They understand their duty and willing to do it. Instead of Curseing them demoralizing the Troops, find out the true facts.

Some one stated get Bush out Problem solved, are you sure? I'm not. Bill Clinton failed as a President, but the Democrat Supports will say differently. But the Problems we suffer from, 9-11 I can point right back at the Failure of Bill Clinton. But to understand you first have to understand the mind of a Terrorist. If you show weakness they will attack. During the 9-'s America and Americans were attacked in the USA, and around the world 6 times. Killing and wounding More than we lost in 9-11 and the War all together. But what was done? Some of the small guys were arrested, but the leaders were not touched and a very poor attempt to knock them out.

How do shout loud and clear about your dissafaction with the war efforts, and being in Iraq, without the troops hearing about your feelings and thoughts of being in Iraq...? Only way to is disclaim your Citizenship. Other wise your no better than the ones we are fighting. It called Betrayal and American Troops know it.

Seperate, No no way to do it. If anyone say you can their are crazy. If your protesting the War, your not Showing support for Our troops, but you are Showing suppport for the enemies troops. When the Soldiers came home from Vietnam, they were hurt more by the actions of those at home than what they saw in Vietnam.

One can argue their disapproval of how the war is being conducted and still support our troops' efforts in Iraq and Afganistan. However, the dissention being presented on the news and on these internet blogs are of the sleaziest and most disruptive and very much like the communist effort in America to derail the progress we made in Vietnam. Disapproval is one thing, but calling names or supporting assasination to remove a President one dislikes will not encourage our troops, but it will certainly encourage the terrorists.
Our success in Iraq will be hard won but it can be won. Our failure in Iraq will be the beginning of the end to any stability we hoped to achieve in the Middle East. In addition, the terrorist will step up their attacks on Americans wherever they are, including your home town and my home town.
I know that our troops are appreciated by the decent citizens in Iraq and Afganistan because I talk to them regularly. They see the political horsesh*t going on these blogs. It can be demoralizing because they are there and the gripers are not. Anyone who does not believe that this war is for keeps and for a long time, is a delusional fool. They will be the ones surprised by another terrorist attack. Those of us who know what these scumbags want to do and will do will keep our support for our troops strong and more vocal than those who have no backbone for survival.

Yes you can support our troops and be against the war. Having said that the problem is public opinion. If you go back to Viet Nam, after the Tet offensive we had the North beat, but there was such an outcry from the people who didn't have the facts that the gov. backed off and let the North off the hook. We had them and let them get away and fight a war of attrition, they beat us in the press and in the world of public opinion. I'm against the war but I would do whatever it took to win it and bring our men and women home. I would never demonstrate are sign a petition against the war. That would be aiding the enemy. I'm still furious at Hanoi Jane AKA Jane Fonda. The damage she did to our P.O.W.s is incalculable. I hope and pray our country doesn't go through that again. Although I'm against the war I would fight the demonstrators.

The truth is 70% of Americans are now against the war in Iraq. So we should soon be coming home.

Enough about the false allegations. Do you need the quotes from the Democrats to justify Operation Desert Fox? Should I quote Senator Clinton who said she supported the war after consulting her own advisors?

It is a horrific feeling to be in Iraq risking your life and acting honorably and hear a US politician compare you to Nazis. That is not support.

Supporting the troops and not the war is just like supporting the criminal and not the crime. Unjustly attacking a country with false allegations is a crime towards a nation.

I can easily do this. I support the troopes, and deplore the leadership (or lack thereof) which put them in harms way.
