Because people allow themselves to commit sin. Satan doesn't really cause things like that, he merely acts on mistakes that we ourselves make.

Can you make your question clearer? Blind whose eyes to what? There are many many people who aren't Christian who see the beauty and wonder of the world, in fact I might add that people that follow more "Earth Based" faiths have a greater appreciation for the beauty of the Earth than most conservative and mainstream Christians.

So, who is blinded and what are they blinded to??

Edited:

Okay, the creationism-vs-evolution again. But I have to say again, seeing the beauty and wonder of the Earth and the Universe doesn't automatically mean that you MUST believe in creationism and only creationism. As a Christian my spiritual belief is obviously in creationism, I believe that the Universe has a creator. However that does not mean that there is scientific evidence of this or that the fact that I believe that there is a creator also means that I MUST believe that everything was created in six days.

And no, I am not a biblical literalist, although yes I am a Christian.

You have made at least 2 major fallacies in your thinking. First, you assumed creation, when you have provided no evidence to support that assumption.

Second, you made reference to the complexity of nature, implying that the probability was astronomically in favor of some god must have done it. You cite probability and odds, yet you do not know the trials. So, can you imagine just by the odds, how the earth came to be as 1 in 1000 possible planets? How many planets are there that you know are not like earth? How many planets are there that you know are exactly like earth? gazillions? maybe there are 1 billion planets out of 300 trillion? Do you know? If you don't, how can you imply probabilities?

The scales fall from the eyes of those who question.

Just because there is fruit or vegetables does not mean that creationism is true. I hope you're ready for some of the answers you are going to get. Some probably aren't going to be very nice. If you want to believe in creationism, fine, but don't expect everyone to believe with you. There is not enough proof either way, so good luck.

Even if you could prove beyond a doubt that there was a creator, that does not prove anyone's conception of who that creator is. Some just assume that if there is a creator then it must be the Christian conception of God. There is nothing in creation to lead one to believe that. The creator may be a power that we do not have any conception of at all. And there is certainly no proof for a conception like Satan. I hate to break it to you, but belief in a creator does not automatically equal belief in the Christian god.

Satan, just like the concept of god, are both man made myths. And as myths humans will use them as inspiration or as an excuse. The same man that is capable of immense good is also just as capable of immense evil. The only blinding involved is what man does to himself through ego or just plain ignorance.

Ugh...the devil or Satan only has as much power as you let him have. That's just temptation and taking the easy way out. It's alot harder to be a decent person. People who don't even believe in the devil or God can do wrong too so, it's not always the devil fooling or blinding them. That's just life. Freewill is always there so no one is a victim.

You tell yourself lies enough you eventually start to believe them. The universe is way too complex and perfect not to have been created. From simple facts like if the earth were a degree closer to or farther away from the sun it could not support life to every living thing has DNA(the most complex thing ever).

The simplest answer to your question is this:
Our fallen condition makes us very vulnerable because we are spiritually speaking dysfuntional until we are born-again (John 3:1-12).
What do I mean by "dysfunctional"?
I mean that the part of us (the human spirit) that God intended to be in continual communication with him became isolated when the original sin was committed. Cut off from God, we're left to the mercy of our natural senses, which the devil exploits at will. Our first line of defense is spiritual discernment which does not exist until we're born-again. Note, this is not to say in every case of sin that "the devil made me do it". We do have a free will, and God expects us to use it. However, that we are vulnerable, is unquestionable.

Maybe you already are born again. If so, the secondary cause of most of our problems is that we believe the lies the devil projects into our minds.
Be it known... God does not give the devil one single tool to use on his people. In order for him to access our life he has to get us to believe some lie. This is why Jesus called him "a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44-45). If we do not believe the devil's lies he has absolutely no way to get to us.

Hey ! How about this little born-again prayer?

Heavenly Father, thank you for Jesus.
Lord Jesus, come into my life; forgive my sins; I'm sorry for them.
Make me the person you created me to be.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Give me eternal life.
Take me to Heaven to be with you when I die.
Thank You, Jesus...
Amen !

If you said that prayer and really meant it, the Devil's problems with you are about to begin, because you really ARE born-again!

Hey! God Bless!
Love in the Lord,
P. Ron Swingle

Your incredulity over the complexity of the universe is not evidence of a creator.

Tell you what: Show me a universe that was "created" and one that wasn't and point out the differences.

Yes, its so wonderful. But even once we were blind. So lets pray for others, cause our God will surely answer us.
Its the holy spirit in us who reveals that it was all created by God, others wont know. Do ask God to annoint you with Holy Spirit, cause Jesus said He will send and I recieved Him 3 months back, though I was not much aware of His presence earlier. You can feel Him physically like in bible there were tougues of fire, I received by a gentle vibration passing from my head to inside, Jesus received it as a form of dove, so ask God until you recieve, cause its already His will to give you.
