I agree, and all the unbeliever, obnoxious answers above mine stand as proof. We knew it would come, and that it would be in a time when people ridiculed God, and the belief in God.

The Muslims will probably produce the anti christ. They behead people as mentioned in Revelation. They also believe in a "Jesus, son of Mary" who they believe will enter the Holy of Holies in Jerusalem and proclaim himself
"not to be the Son of God." If that is not the abomination of desolation I don't know what is. In America we will be allowed to fear what the Muslims are doing, and to be against it, however in the spirit of "political correctness" we will not be allowed to speak out against the Muslims, or do anything to stop them. Sharia law will overtake us with little to no opposition. How do you make war with terrorists? You can't blame a country, only cowards hiding in civilian populations.

No. The world will not end for another five billion years or so when the Sun enters into its red giant phase.

Besides, I don't believe in Christianity, thus no Armageddon. In my religion the end times are known as Ragnarök, the Twilight of the Gods.

The folks at Family Radio believe it will be in the fall of 2011.

See:
http://www.timehasanend.org/public/en_time_has_an_end_cont.html

That said, the lectures at Family Radio, are illuminating.
See: http://worldwide.familyradio.org/zusa/english/connect/audio_archive/echoes/frame/download/download.html

Lastly, for the offline version of the FR nightly call in show where folks ask questions live about the bible, see:

I am not endorsing all of the host's, Harold Camping, theologies, but one is able to learn quite a bit by listening to these materials.

Armegeddon is a place. Not an event in time. As a place name Megiddo is the Jezreel valley fortress in northern Israel. It was where a battle was fought long ago, not in the future.
