ok i have been really wanted to get one but i was wondering about the pain does it hurt when i get it or does it hurt after and if you got one how does it feel having one

It hurts like heck! I got mine done when I was 18 (that was 9 years ago). Mine hurt like the devil and took 1 month to feel better. I think mine got infected. After all that I liked it for a few years then I took it out. I can say that I am much happier without mine. I had mine in for about 5 years. If I had to do it again, I would NOT do it.

My girlfriend and I got pierced. Her's in the tongue and mine, a belly ring. What I could not get over was that when she got hers pierced her tongue shook so bad because the nerve went into shock. The pain for her was so intense. The look of it shocked me. Plus infection in the tongue is another factor. I recently took out my belly ring. I wanted to grow up!

I got mine done when I turned 19 (I am now 24). It hurt so bad when it was done that I had tears in my eyes. It swelled and filled up my whole mouth for 5 days, and then the swelling went down. Mine didn't get infected, and I know a lot of people that have had it done and none of them had problems either. If you do get it done, make sure you go to a professional. Also, make sure you clean it as instructed. Actually, I didn't. It hurt to do it as much as they told me to. I made my own schedule, and I didn't stop drinking or smoking. I love it now, and wouldn't even consider taking it out. Sometimes I forget that it's there. My fiance loves it too.

Seriously no, don't do it. I'm a guy, I just find it completely disgusting, maybe it's just me, I don't know. I just can't see why anyone would pay to have someone jab a hole in their tongue, and stick a metal rod through it.
Not that I'm biased or anything...

why not-just remember you will live on soups, jellos, and puddings for a week or two. Not allowed to smoke or have alcoholic beverages. rinse your mouth with an antiseptic like listerne.

yes, do it. ruin your body. when they cut off your tongue, due to infection. you dont have to worry about what food tastes like
