Some Vets will spay cats even though they are in heat. I would make an appointment to have that done ASAP. Cats can cycle every other week until they get a mate. Usually spaying means an overnight stay at the clinic so you would also benefit a good quiet night's sleep from it. It is my belief that it is cruel to allow a cat to continue to go into heat if it lives indoors and is not being bred. Also spaying her will help your relationship to grow since the annoying behavior and noise would cease (no more sleepless nights means no more frustration).

There's nothing you can do to keep her from meowing while she's in heat - it's normal, natural cat behavior. However, unlike you have a very loud Siamese, it's unlikely that your neighbors are going to hear her meow, so that's not something I would be worried about.

If you want there to be no more meowing in the future, you need to get her spayed. Most veterinarians will not do the spay surgery while your cat is in heat, but you can have it done after this heat so that the next one won't start. You can call local vet offices to see who offers you the best price for the surgery, and many times there are low-cost spay/neuter programs. You can call the SPCA or Humane Society to ask about those and about upcoming "spay clinics" which are generally low-cost.

Also, if you're not allowed to have pets in the apartment, you really should not have a cat. While it doesn't seem like much (hiding a cat is easy), it's not fair to the cat or the landlord. Please consider that if they find out about the cat, you may either have to dump the cat (give it away on short notice) or get evicted from your home. Also, if your landlord finds out after you've moved out and there's any cat-related damage in the home, you will never see your security deposit again and will likely be charged additional fees for cleaning.

There is nothing you can do to make her stop meowing. I agree with the first answer about trying to get her spayed. She is just going to keep this up every time she goes into heat. In many areas of the country, certain vets. offer their time to perform spaying and neutering at almost no cost. Check with SPCA or Humane Society. They can do spaying if the cat is in heat and even if she is already pregnant. The risk of infection is a bit greater, but with antibiotics, it can be done. We went through this several years ago. Good Luck

No if's, and's or but's about it. You have to get this cat spayed as soon as you can. That is the only way you will get her to stop this behavior. If you don't get her spayed, she will continue to go into heats and will make your life miserable. You won't keep her quiet until she is spayed. Good luck!

The only way to avoid this problem again is to have her fixed, plain and simple. As long as she is not, every time she comes in heat, she will meow...............all night!!!!

Get her spayed. If you cannot afford it then call the Human Society and ask if they have a spay program.
