Peppermints Peppermint Candy
Gingerale
Baking soda mixed with water sometimes
Gatorade
Yogurt
Drink lots of water to keep hydrated some of the nausea helps clean out mucus that gets into your digestive tract because it is difficult to digest and just causes problems.
Chicken soup - soft foods - bland foods
Bread just plain bread
Toast
Juices mixed with water really watered down avoid things like citris
No milk
if you can eat yogurt it will help
I can always eat chocolate when I am deathly ill if I suck on it and it often helps me to get to the next step of eating not that I love eating chocolate on an empty stomach
Lots of warm green tea mixed with honey helps also

I get very nauseated when I am sick sometimes for 24 hours I do all of these. The objective is to get water back in keep something near by in case your stomach has not cleaned it all out and then try to get some more inside you again.
Eat and drink very slowly drink room temperature liquids and foods to not upset the stomach worse or slightly warmed but not too hot.
And if you can tolerate it add just a little bit of lemon juice or lime to the hot tea.
Avoid milk and milk products I do not eat yogurt right away but eat it to help reset my digestive tract.
Make toast eat plain unbuttered toast I know yuck but that is what I do all of this. Avoid anything greasy like pizza until later on...and french fries because they will revisit you I know and not as pleasantly as the first time.
The illness is going to fight you and knows if you do not eat it has an advantage so this is what it has learned by mutation and successes in the past to do to your body's immune system to undermine it. You need good nutrition even more than when you are not sick. Chicken soup has lots of good things in it to help you get well even the broth if you cook it with vegetables it helps my husband alot and his mother makes it with fresh chicken and vegetables for him when he is sick hers is sooo good. He gets over it fast when she makes it. I use canned which is good but nothing works as good as fresh range chicken soup to get well ASAP that is why my friends have been sending me up to my friends house to buy her fighting roosters that she bought for breeding that turned out to fight so now they are soup and helped a bunch of kids get well.

Try some white rice it always worked for me and my children when they were growing up. Now my children are grown and with children of their own with the same questions. Don't add any greasy foods with the rice just rice, white soda. This is an old remedy. Good luck!!!!!! Hope you get better and back in the swing of life. I read the other answers and they should be ashamed of themselves grease is the wrong thing for the stomach flu and you need to stay hydrated so keep plenty of clear liquids, water is a good thing but it will also make you sick if you get too much of it gatorade is a good thing, but is there any clear if there is get some. Like I said get some white soda it sets better on the stomach. There is nothing wrong with asking questions. It has been told to me that a stupid person is a person that don't ask questions. Take my advice and you will feel much better in about a day or so. Have you known any of the asians to be sick with the stomach flu? That is because they eat plenty of the rice.

Pepto is a decent over the counter remedy for nausea but may not work with a viral infection. Viruses must run their course and even if you went to the doc there is little that will cure a virus. They could prescribe some strong anti nausea meds though. If you work and they do not offer health insurance you should get a job elsewhere that does. If they offer it and you do not have it you are irresponsible. What if you had cancer? What if you needed surgery?
Drink liquids to prevent dehydration, gatorade or orange juice is best. And let it run its course. There is a nasty virus going around.
Hey, just go to the ER and dont pay when you get the bill. They will just pass on the cost to those of us who do pay.

The only thing you can do is make sure you get plenty of fluids. You will probably throw up, but will feel better once you do. It sounds like a bad bug. You probably have a fever and that will contribute to the weakness. The only thing that they could do for you in ER is give you a phenergan suppository for the nausea and an IV if you are dehydrated. try to keep yourself from getting dehydrated. Sip your 7up and get some pedialyte. Don't eat anything. Once the vomiting has stopped, drink a lot of fluids. If you start to get diarrhea don't drink anything with sugar. That is what pedialyte is good for. I hope you feel better soon. Oh and stay away from Gatorade.Peppermint does help with nausea, but if it is going to come up, it's going to come up. Your body is actually trying to rid itself from the virus. That is why we get diarrhea and vomit.

Emergency rooms cannot refuse to see you. I don't know where you live, but in California there is such a thing as emergency medi-cal. You sound like you are dehydrated and in need of fluids. The children can also get dehydrated and this can be serious. You may be passing the "bug" back and forth since all of you are sick.

It is very important that you stay hydrated by drinking water. If you can drink a sport drink it would be better. You can even die from not having water.

DO NOT stop drinking in order to stop throwing up.

The babies are the same way. dehydration in babies is the leading cause of death in the first year. If they are throwing up a lot it is very difficult to tell if they are getting enough liquid.

Its probably the Norovirus going around, dont worry it isnt long lasting but you need to drink Gatorade or Powerade that has electrolytes in it so you dont get dehydrayed and have even more problmes like kidney failure. Make sure kids and babies get to a doc too.
For nausea try peppermint tea or mints cause it is supposed to be good for nausea.

there is no cure for nausea. there are meds that will reduce the effects. the local ER will bill you for their services. do not eat. drink fluids at room temp and just 1/4 cup at a time. be careful not to become too dehydrated.
when your family and roomies are better, practice better hygeine to reduce the spread of infection.

Sip water all the time. Take it in little sips. You must not dehydrate.
Try and eat some dry biscuits. Nibble on them. Rest . I am afraid I can't help you with the insurance part.
