My friend says her best guy friend is showing signs of liking her. They have known each other for like 4 years though. I know that she likes him so I thought most of it was wishful thinking on her part. How can he just all of a sudden start likeing her after four years? I told her i didnt think he liked her and she got mad. I feel bad but its hard for me to believe that he would develope feelings after so long. Have you ever experienced this? Maybe i was wrong to tell her that I didnt think he liked her.

Dear Florida gal
You are right to say what you think. I enjoy when my friends tell me I'm wrong as long as they back off and let me do what I want to do.Then tell me I told you so. It is your opinion with the information you have. Go and apologies to her and tell her you didn't know. He had changed as he wasn't liking her the last time you talked to him. I once had a girl hang around me and I never looked at her as girl friend just friend and one day I can not tell you what changed we matured and I took a look at her and Wow I was looking at a different girl. Tell your friend you will always be her friend no matter who she dates You was missing important information and should have asked her and him questions before you spook out. You wish them the best. You are there for her. You are a good friend and I hope she knows how Lucky she is to have a friend like you.

yes , you can do that by developping the same feeling like him.just try to ask him why he changed after so long. He might have been in love with her since before but he was studying about her.

Sure, I think it's possible. But remember this, the "feeling" of love comes and goes in any relationship, only the "committment" to love is constant. Emotions are fickle and to follow them is foolish. Use your head and love someone who is good to you and good for you, not just because he/she makes your heart skip a beat.

Yeah you can start to have feelings for someone after a long period of time. It happened to me once and it didn't work out but we are still friends. It isn't that unnatural.

yes, it can happen, because it takes time to really get to know someone well.
