I didn't show up to my appointment with my therapist today.
I feel worst than ever. I've been feeling awfull for about two weeks now.
I'm thinking about finishing it tonight or maybe tomorrow or maybe in the near future or maybe not at all.
I'm confused and I'm scared of what I might do.
I don't know where to turn to.
I'm afraid of calling my psychologist because I don't want to be hospitalized. Some time ago he told me he would hospitalize me if he felt I'm in danger. So I'm trying to avoid that but I feel helpless. What should I do?

The reason people are hospitalized is to stabilize those emotions. 95% of the mission of inpatient psychiatric hospitalization is to get the medication right so that people won't kill themselves or somebody else, which would create a bigger mess for the survivors and the people who would find the bodies.

Suicide is not a choice. It's what some people are driven to do because their pain and sadness overrides their ability to cope. I would be really worried for you, except that I see you here, writing questions on this website to random people who may not know you at all but still seem to care.

I know there are a lot of reasons to want to end your life. If there weren't, you'd be like everybody else. But I gotta be honest... your resilience shows through when you get online and ask for help. You want to ask for help other places, but you must feel kind of buried and you don't want to just end up in some hospital.

I'm a child/adolescent therapist, and I've talked to a lot of people who felt this way. I can't hospitalize you because I have no idea who you are, but if you want to share some of your thoughts, e-mail me at burges83@msu.edu (my old undergrad e-mail) and we can see where you're headed. I think you're going to be just fine, but we'll have to wait and see. Keep asking for help. There's no shame in it. We all get buried sometimes.

I've been there three times in my life and for some reason it's a need to escape. Do you want your death to be one that stated you created a sin or one that you earned you way to a greater life. All the crap that goes on here is temporary. I hurt just like you do. you have to look inside yourself and see what you really want. I always felt guilty if i did it. If you got nowhere else to turn to evaluate the situation. There's always a proper and healthy solution. Don't do it and be an example be a leader. Everything gets worse before it gets better. I deal with wanting to do it so do many other people but It leaves unresolved issues. People will talk about your death in a negative way if you go through with it. contact me if you like. blackcatheaven2006@yahoo.com

You do need help and it takes courage to get it. You can't worry about being hospitalized! If it happens it happens, if it doesn't then ok too! Your doctor knows what is best and he is there to help you, accept that and get some help. You know, I don't know if you believe in God, but he works wonders! If a person takes their own life they will burn for eternity in hell! I am sure you have loved ones look down on you from heaven and they want to see you there some day. Make the right choices and get the help you deserve and need. Nothing is as bad as death and there is tons of people that your death would affect, I'm sure. I suffer from depression and anxiety, but my fear is death! I don't want to die!! I have a 11 year old daughter to see through life!! If you don't have kids, one day I hope you get to experience that and life will have a whole new meaning to you!! Get the help and feel better.

I don't think saying "get over yourself" is any help to you at all. Been there, mate; been there. Please go see a doctor. What are you afraid of? The stigma of hospitalization? Anything has to be better than how you're feeling now, right? Please, PLEASE! don't try to sort this out on your own. Your thoughts will only spiral downwards until you can't think properly anymore and killing yourself becomes a viable option. You need a professional who takes an objective look at you and can save you from damage. Promise me you'll go and speak to your psychologist?

Slow down!!!Call your doctor. He might hospitalize you , but that's only so they can help you. While you're there, they'll talk to you and probably try out different medicines to see what will work for you. Death isn't the solution. Once they get you on track with everything, your life ill be ok. Just pleaz talk to your doctor!

Please call someone, if you don't want to call your therapist, call a friend or family member. You should not be alone right now. I want you to know that you are not alone in this world and what ever you are going through right now will pass. Even if you feel all alone, there are people in your life that will mourn you and always wonder if they could of helped you. Please don't put your loved ones in this horrible position, I had a close family member commit suicide five years ago. We think of her everyday and miss her every day, just like those that love you will think of you and miss you. Please, Please get some help.

HEY, tall to me. Call me! I will give you my number ASAP. Don't you want to see the sun or even the overcast in the morning? You made it till morning now just reading this. Tell me what has happened and what's going on. No other unnecessary questions. I'm HERE, and I care. Been there, done it, or tried. Come on, talk to a good old buddy (even though we just met). Ha Ha! Made you laugh, I hope!

sounds like you need to call your doctor. there is no one but you who can change your feelings. do your best not to act upon them. realize that meds and hospitalization are the help that you ask for.
