Howcome Eliphaz, son of Esau, Gen 36.4, is supposed to have chased after Jacob to kill him for stealing his Esau's blessing?
Is this a fiction, or a 'midrash' of Thoms Mann, (Joseph and his Brothers)?

Its a midrash the story goes on to say that Eliphaz took everthing that Jacob owned leaving him poor and destatute.

Poverty is considerd a type of death and as such he fufilled his fathers command without killing Jacob.

or atleast thats how the midrash goes.

No, because Jacob and Esau made up and forgave later on in their life. It wasn't an issue for the next generation.

Stealing? or in basic terms straightforward outsmarting Esau. Jacob cared with reference to the destiny advantages, yet Esau did no longer on the time. in a while whilst Esau found out in basic terms precisely what it meant, he grow to be so mad he wanted to kill Jacob. No she did what she grow to be meant to do.
