When preparing a single serving of pasta such as macaroni and have shredded cheese a half of cup will be enough to one cup of the pasta item.
A larger amount of cheese be acceptable if a cheese be dryer.
Cheese amounts being softer should be not exceeding two teaspoons per cracker bite.
Since cheese since could hurt stomach to eat guey cheeses dripping and soft and melted and give diarrhea.
I agree that the staining cheese resins of todays snacks left on fingers should not exceed a serving of one half cup per 24 hours.

Well, that all depends on how lactose intolerant you are. I love cheese!!! But, given that I am very lactose intolerant, it's best not to be around me when I've had "too much" cheese.
For me, too much is a couple of slices.
