*laugh* Not uncomfortable, just... confused. I mean, why "thumbs down" unless they want to tell me "you should have said something I can agree with"? In which case, would they REALLY have preferred that I lie?

LOL.
It does when I write an intelligent answer that states my beliefs without insulting others. It also upsets me when I feel that my responses have been misunderstood.
It doesn't when I'm being sardonic, though:) Some people need a good dose of irony when they are proving themselves completely ignorant. I tend to enjoy getting thumbs down from people who spend all their time on the parenting section talking about how great it is to hit their kids. The thumbs-down's (ooh, that sounded strange) from people in R&S who believe their moral compass is solely a product of whatever book they are reading just make me shake my head in wonder (that wonder is quickly becoming rote).
Some people shouldn't have thumbs, really.

The ones that are weird are when they give you a thumbs down for answering something like "Did you vote in the last election" and you respond with "yes". A thumbs down? We have anti-voters?

Not really, since it is understandable that people don't like when I speak against their very nature. But it is just a website and people will do what they want, even though it is an opinion, and cannot be disproved, and therefore reasonably thumbed-down.

I have to notice that on your time question, someone gave me and one other person a thumbs down. Probably a report gamer, actually.

Don't let the thumbs down get you down! If you feel satisfied that you've answered the question honestly, then a thumbs down should mean absolutely nothing to you!

no, not uncomfortable. it usually amuses me.
i think it's kind of funny when we are asked for our opinion, or about our beliefs and then someone starts giving everyone a thumbs down.
edit

Only if there's no reason for it. Like if someone asks an opinion question and my solicited opinion gets negative ratings...that's weird. If it's a factual question and I give inaccurate info, that's one thing, but essentially "boo-ing" my personal thoughts? Not uncomfortable, it's just really odd.
