I agree with Iraq51. Bring the troops home when the job is finished. I'm not a member of the military, but I have several siblings who do serve. I have a service flag hanging in my living room with 1 gold and 3 blue stars on it. That's just for my brothers, my dad and grandfathers were also veterans of war. I've already lost a brother to this war, and I have another that's over there fighting as I type this. I am so proud of them for the sacrifices and service they have provided for mine and your freedom, and the future freedom of the Iraqi people. Most civilians do not see any of the good things that our troops are doing while over there and believe the massively produced crap that is featured on CNN, Fox, and other news outlets because they don't know any better.
As I said, my brother was KIA in Baghdad a little over a year ago, as my other brother watched his M1A1 tank roll across an IED on his supposed to be last mission in Iraq. He was due to come home 36 hours later. After having that all happen, my younger brother still spoke highly of our efforts over there, and in fact is back there again, on his own free will. My youngest brother enlisted in the USAF 7 months after attending his first military funeral (our brothers). That speaks volumes to me. My brother is missing the birth of his first child, to continue fighting a war that those of you who object, most likely know nothing about.
You may not agree with why we are there, or how it is being handled, but keep in mind that it will be the same troops you are ignoring and failing to support, that you will be depending on to defend YOUR freedom in the future. Unless you are serving your country, don't question those that do.

Hey DOPEYdog2.....
You advocate senting "a Clinton in there...." right? Bill? No...why would we want a person in the White House who was impeached during his Presidency?
And before some uniformed people screamed that Bill Clinton was never impeached (I have seen this happen on other Q & As when his impeachment was mentioned) look up what impeachment means...start with the US Constitution. It means that he was tried in the Congress. Removal from office if hed had be found guilty wpould have bee the second an final stage.
So....would you want Hillary in the WH? Sorry...I just don't think the US is ready for a fermale President yet.
Face reality....no one or process is going to have President removed from office regardless of your oh so valued assestment that "He is a dumb man....had no idea how to run a country." No doubt you rextensive Yale education exceeds his Yale education. An I have no doubt that have more political experience running a huge, major state like Texas...as President Bush did. I do not mean to sound if I am mocking you...I don't have a Yale education nor have I run a state...huge or small either just as you don't. I am simply making the point that he is not dumb and that he does have excecutive expeience running a governerment.
And YES, I think President Bush sending in 21,000 more to Iraq will help the soliders already station in the Baghdad area. Unless you have a miltary background with training in small unit tactics you lack the training and experience to fully understand why. And wait...yes as a former army officer training is such tactics and having actuall been in Iraq...I do have the background to understand at least the basics.
I say bring the troops back....when the job is done.

You know what, it's not a game, whoever said that. WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! He's a guy stuck in a bad situation. Like the main character in "Shooting An Elephant", he was stuck with going to war due to the attitude of the American public. Afterwards, however, he had plenty of time to pull out. For those who say it would mean ppl sacrificed themselves for nothing if we left, think about it. We have killed many, we have lost many, that is war. But to continue to kill, endangering innocents after we have captured a grand majority of the targets we were after, that is beyond not pitying, that is beyond not having any sympathy, that is barbaric. We are now on a conquest, and it is WRONG! The US is not an empire, or at least it shouldn't be, and the UN is looking for a country to boost its status. It's wrong now, let's move out before we incite more terrorism. The best we can do is watch our own soil.

We must stay the course. Hey i'm one of the guys who's been going and I know we have to finish the job. It sucks and it scares the crap more and more every time I go, but we have to finish what we started. If we don't all the soldiers and marines lives who have been given over there will mean nothing.

Just like the torries that wanted General George Washington to step down and make peace with our British friends.
Stick to video games if the real world is a little too rough for you.
